Stars Best Shop Awards 2022 announce major sponsors

Underlines, Organisers of the Stars Best Shop Awards are delighted to announce that the event which is ‘live’ this year (17th November) is made possible by the support of Primary Sponsors, LYCRA®, Wacoal and Panache and supported by Anita Since 1886, Miraclesuit and BIRA (British Independent Retailers Association).

“We are proud to be one of the primary sponsors for the Stars Awards again this year, celebrating the great achievements of British stores who have all worked tirelessly through some of the toughest times. At The LYCRA Company, we strive to deliver manufacturing excellence and product sustainability to improve the consumer experience resulting in the LYCRA® brand being synonymous with quality and performance they can trust.”

Alistair Williamson, Apparel Vice President for EMEA & South Asia, The LYCRA Company

“Wacoal are delighted to be supporting the Stars Awards 2022. We’re so looking forward to everyone joining together at the Awards for the first time since the pandemic. Stars really recognises the strength of our industry and just how important it is that we celebrate the independent sector. The last few years have been tough for everyone, so we really want to thank all of our independents for their continued support and congratulate them on their continued success.”

Laurel Nash, Global Sales Director of Wacoal

“Our partners have always been our lifeblood here at Panache, and the Stars Best Shop Awards is a night of well-deserved recognition for the hard work put in by our independent retailers, who make such a positive contribution to the industry.

“We have all had to endure the uncertainty of the last 2 years but there is strength through adversity. As we mark our 40th birthday at Panache, we look to celebrate the past and embrace what is to come. The resilience and creativity that our independents have shown makes us so hopeful as we look towards and invest in the future of lingerie. We greatly look forward to being a part of celebrating the success stories and wish all independents the best of luck for the night at the 14th edition of this wonderful event.”

John Power, Managing Director of Panache Lingerie

Anita, Miraclesuit and BIRA continue to exclusively support some key Awards at Stars.

“Anita have been proud sponsors of the Stars ‘Special Care Recognition Award‘ for many years now and we continue to place a high value on both the event and the award itself. The evening gives us an opportunity to identify and thank those in the retail world who are really working hard to provide specialist, considerate and knowledgeable environments for our post-surgical customers. These ladies are often experiencing an extremely difficult time in their lives and really need the support of training and caring retailers. Stars provides Anita with a platform to publicly recognise all the efforts that our valued retailers make on an on-going basis and this year, more than ever before, we are delighted to be back at Stars celebrating with you all in person!”

Michele Duncan, Sales & Marketing Manager, Anita UK

Miraclesuit will be sponsoring the Body Confidence/Shaping Solutions Award as the company mark its 30th anniversary in supporting women worldwide.

“It has been difficult to plan since the COVID pandemic hit us all, striving to achieve the service and goals that we pride ourselves on. However when we asked to help sponsor the wonderful return of the Stars event ‘live’, we could not decline – a chance to celebrate the industry with the brilliant people that make it tick. Our full team from these shores and across the pond love the Stars event. It is important to us that we are part of that celebration having fun and even a little dodgy dancing too.”

Chris Eve of Patricia Eve Ltd (Exclusive Distributors of Miraclesuit Shapewear & Swimwear)

“These awards recognise the best indie retailers in a sector that does not receive enough recognition. Bira is delighted to be associated with such a professional and engaging event, highlighting all that is great in indie retail.”

Andrew Goodacre, CEO of BIRA (supporter of Personal Touch Award)

Pamela Scott of Underlines Magazine commented: “We are thrilled that these leading brands and organisations continue to support the Stars event – without that support it would not be possible to create such an important date for retailers in the UK and Ireland. Everyone that has been nominated this year has gone above and beyond in the service of their customers in very extenuating circumstances. It is certainly overdue that they can enjoy their own event and let their hair down!”

The nominations for Stars 2022 will be announced later this week.
