On February 25th, trade magazine SOUS once again awarded the STERNE der WÄSCHE to the best and most committed lingerie specialist shops and departments in Germany. Over 300 lingerie VIPs met for the 13th edition of the industry Oscars in the magical mirror tent of the Teatro. Owners and representatives of the most important lingerie shops, textile houses and department stores, as well as members of the jury attended the award ceremony, followed by an after-show party in which nominees and award winners celebrated together.

The high-ranking jury of 22 well-known lingerie manufacturers nominated 62 shops in seven categories, and this year for the first time there was also a separate category to include Austria and Switzerland. In addition, two special prizes were awarded this year for an attention-grabbing product presentation, and for the fourth time Lycra chose the winner of the Lycra showcase competition.

The Triaction by Triumph Special Award celebrated its premiere this year and went to the house that had best staged the Triaction brand. The SOUS Manufacturer Award, on the other hand, was decided by the industry: more than 500 lingerie shops and departments cast their votes, honouring the best collections in various categories.

On March 5, 2017, German specialist magazine SOUS held the twentieth edition of the glamorous Sterne der Wäsche awards ceremony in Munich, honouring the best lingerie shops in Germany. Over 300 VIPs from the industry including retailers, buyers, department managers as well as jury members gathered at the Schuhbecks Theatre for an evening of excitement and emotion followed by a gala dinner and an after-show party.

A high calibre jury of 19 well-known lingerie manufacturers nominated 64 stores in six categories and for the third time the LYCRA® special prize was awarded in the LYCRA® Display Competition.

Sterne der Wäsche 2015


On 1st March 2015 German trade magazine, Sous, hosted a glamorous gala event in Munich for the Sterne (Stars) of underwear. The coveted prizes are awarded annually to the best intimate apparel shops and department stores in Germany, and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of these ‘Oscars’ of the underwear world the event was held at Schuhbeck’s Teatro, a fascinating dinner show created by celebrity chef Alfons Schuhbeck.

A high calibre jury of 21 well known underwear brands voted on 50 shops in 6 Award Categories (Reference Shops, Personal Touch, Concept Shops, Textile Houses, New Stores/New Look and Departments). 300 VIPs attended the glittering Awards ceremony – owners and representatives of the most important lingerie speciality stores, buyers and heads of departments, decision makers from the textile industry, winners from previous years as well as members of the jury.


TV Moderator, Roman Roell, added to the evening of excitement and high emotion and the Awards ceremony was also accompanied by engaging show acts and an after show party, bringing together a who’s who of the underwear world.

Best shops in Germany and Italy are announced!


February saw the glamorous 2014 editions of Sterne der Wäsche, organized by the specialist German magazine SOUS and Stelle dell’Intimo, organized by Italian magazine Linea Intima. The gala dinners were followed by the exciting awards ceremonies and after-show parties at which the nominees and winners celebrated together with the Who’s Who of the lingerie industry.


Part of the Network Dessous family, the awards are the German and Italian equivalent of the Stars Best Shop Awards and are awarded annually to the best and most dedicated lingerie shops and departments stores of each respective country. Specialist stores, buyers and department managers, decision-makers from textile houses and consolidated department stores, the winners of the previous years and the members of the jury were were present to celebrate at a night that pays homage to some of the best shops in the world.
