On February 25th, trade magazine SOUS once again awarded the STERNE der WÄSCHE to the best and most committed lingerie specialist shops and departments in Germany. Over 300 lingerie VIPs met for the 13th edition of the industry Oscars in the magical mirror tent of the Teatro. Owners and representatives of the most important lingerie shops, textile houses and department stores, as well as members of the jury attended the award ceremony, followed by an after-show party in which nominees and award winners celebrated together.

The high-ranking jury of 22 well-known lingerie manufacturers nominated 62 shops in seven categories, and this year for the first time there was also a separate category to include Austria and Switzerland. In addition, two special prizes were awarded this year for an attention-grabbing product presentation, and for the fourth time Lycra chose the winner of the Lycra showcase competition.

The Triaction by Triumph Special Award celebrated its premiere this year and went to the house that had best staged the Triaction brand. The SOUS Manufacturer Award, on the other hand, was decided by the industry: more than 500 lingerie shops and departments cast their votes, honouring the best collections in various categories.

Top 100 unveils best boutiques in France

The winners of the Top 100 Best Shops in France competition were announced in a fabulous gala evening in the heart of Paris last January. 270 guests were welcomed into the beautiful Pavillon Cambon Capucines for the third edition of the competition, organised by Intima magazine and hosted by Charlie Clarck.

Once again the jury was made up of the main national and foreign brands in the industry, including the big names in the corsetry, nightwear and loungewear segments, with the new addition of swimwear brands. The jurors worked for six months to choose the 100 best shops among the 334 nominees, recognising exceptional performances in the industry.

Five shops were awarded the coveted Prix d’Excellence: Lingerie Sipp in Logelbach, Le Boudoir in Strasbourg, and Lilou Lingerie in Cholet received the same number of votes, while Rêve Ligne in Rennes won the Special Lingerie Excellence Award, and Lyonnaise boutique Cupidon received the Seaside Special Excellence Award.  This year, 5 more boutiques attracted the attention of Intima’s editors with their particularly successful decorations and were each awarded with an Intima’s Coup de Coeur Award – È Così in Compiègne, Opium in Montbrison, Fleur d’Eden in Saint-Malo, Glamour Lingerie in Paris, as well as Milles et Une Excuse in Reims.

The Communication Award was attributed to the store which knew how to make the most of its presence in the TOP 100, Les Dessous de Virginie, in Douai, and the Entrepreneurial Award was attributed to Mrs. Julie Sidiot, owner of three shops in her name on the Reunion Island.

The Best of Intima Awards unveils 2017 winners

On August 6th, The Best of Intima magazine held the 13th edition of its annual The Best of Intima Awards at New York City’s elegant Tribeca 360°. 2017 marks the 60th anniversary of Intima Media Group and to celebrate, the most prestigious North American retailers were honoured with a unique Champions Edition of the contest, where for the first time past winners could re-enter the competition.

The jury, formed of representatives from twenty of the world’s most renowned intimate apparel brands, put forward 300 nominees, and when the votes were counted 36 finalists emerged spanning five categories. Concept, stores with a strong theme reflected in their dècor and unique product offer; European Flair,  for a boutique with a continental feel and a strong selection of imported brands; Reference, stores with a large, comprehensive product offer; Personal Touch, for a retail space that reflects the individuality of its owner with a focus on one-to-one customer service; and The Best of Intima’s Choice.

Francesca Spinetta, Co-owner and Editorial Director of the Intima Magazines, welcomed guests before introducing Zvi Ertel, CEO of Dana-Co, to officially open this year’s awards ceremony.  One store among this year’s nominees stood out and was given a very special mention at the ceremony, with the following extra category prize awarded: Lifetime Achievement Award – Blum’s.

On March 5, 2017, German specialist magazine SOUS held the twentieth edition of the glamorous Sterne der Wäsche awards ceremony in Munich, honouring the best lingerie shops in Germany. Over 300 VIPs from the industry including retailers, buyers, department managers as well as jury members gathered at the Schuhbecks Theatre for an evening of excitement and emotion followed by a gala dinner and an after-show party.

A high calibre jury of 19 well-known lingerie manufacturers nominated 64 stores in six categories and for the third time the LYCRA® special prize was awarded in the LYCRA® Display Competition.

Stelle dell’Intimo Gala 2017


The 19th Stelle dell’Intimo gala unveiled the 2017 top Italian retailers on February 11 at Palazzo Borghese, Florence. Starring the 125 very best shops from the intimate apparel, beachwear and hosiery industries in Italy, Stelle dell’Intimo welcomed over 300 guests for an exciting and memorable evening of celebration and networking.

A prestigious jury comprised of 24 top brands selected this year’s winners in four categories – Reference Shops, New Generation Shops, Concept Stores and Personal Touch. The 2017 jury included Anita, Whispers, Chantelle, Christies, Guess, Hanky Panky, Hanro, Julipet, Le Bonitas, Lisanza, Lise Charmel, Luna, Maison Lejaby, Marjolaine, Maryan Mehlhorn, Max Mara Leisure, Oscalito, Paladini, Parah, Pepita, Pierre Mantoux Simone Pérèle, Valery and Wolford.

On July 31st, The Best of Intima magazine held the 12th edition of The Best of Intima Awards to honour the most accomplished independent retailers in the intimate apparel, beachwear and loungewear sectors from the United States and Canada. An array of the most influential and prominent names in the field gathered for a cocktail at New York City’s exclusive Tribeca Rooftop and Francesca Spinetta, Co-owner and Editorial Director of the Intima magazines, welcomed guests before introducing Guido Campello, CEO and Creative Director of Cosabella to officially open this year’s awards ceremony.

This year, 33 finalists were chosen out of over 350 nominees put forward by the jury, covering five categories: Concept Store, European Flair, Reference Shop, Personal Touch and The Best of Intima’s Choice. The 2016 Jury was comprised of representatives from twenty prestigious brands: Anita, b.tempt’d, Chantelle, Commando, Cosabella, Empreinte, Epure, Fantasie, Freya, Hanky Panky, Hanro, Le Mystère, Lise Charmel, Natori, Panache, Rosa Faia, Simone Pérèle, Skarlett Blue, Triumph, Wacoal.

Two prestigious intimate apparel brands also decided to celebrate their anniversaries during The Best of Intima Awards gala. German brand Anita awarded its 130th Anniversary Award to Town Shop and Lingerie Emma, while Colombian brand Leonisa offered its 60th Anniversary Award to Classic Shapewear.

Over 300 VIP guests including boutique owners, buyers, brand representatives and members of the jury came together at the in Schuhbecks Teatro in Munich to celebrate the best lingerie shops and department stores in the country at the 11th edition of Sterne der Wäsche. The glamorous night was conducted by TV presenter Roman Roell, who greeted guests and shared the stage with outstanding artists. Winners from the 2016 Sterne der Wäsche Awards are:

Top 100 French boutiques 2016


Lauched in 2015 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Intima Magazine, the Top 100 returned to the prestigious Pavillon Gabriel in Paris to honour the best French boutiques.  The gala evening saw around 260 guests including retailers, VIPs, suppliers and members of the jury gather to celebrate and network in an exuberant setting.

A total of 354 shops were nominated by the jury, comprised of French and international brands which include Lise Charmel, Aubade, Chantelle, Simone Pérèle, Maison Lejaby, Lou, Rosy, Cosabella, Selmark, Triumph, Anita, Vanity Fair and Oscalito. For this new edition of Top 100 the judging panel welcomed three new participants: nightwear specialist Le Chat, Spanish company Impetus and popular Belgian lingerie brand PrimaDonna.

The event was sponsored by Japanese fibre giant Asahi Kasei, owner of Roica and Cupro.

Stelle dell’Intimo 2016 shines in Florence


The top Italian intimate apparel retailers were unveiled on February 6 in Florence, at the 18th Stelle dell’Intimo gala. The exuberant awards ceremony took place at Palazzo Borghese, and saw over 300 guests including top retailers, VIPs and suppliers gather to network and celebrate the 128 nominated retailers. Winners were selected by a prestigious jury comprised of 24 brands with retailers awarded in four categories: Reference Shops, New Generation Shops, Concept Stores and Personal Touch.
